US Airways Flight 5568 made an emergency landing at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. Operated by Mesa Airlines,the plane was traveling from Charlotte to Austin.
Reportedly, 83 people were on board. Engine problems forced the pilot to divert the plane to Bush airport where it landed safely with only one functional engine.
No injuries were reported. Officials suspect there was an issue with oil pressure in one of the plane’s engines. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified of the incident and will investigate. US Airways is working to get the passengers onto another jet to Austin.
