In an effort to give a boost to online holiday bookings in India, the travel industry has come together to host the first-ever Great Indian Travel Festival, which will be held from April 18-26, 2015. The Festival will witness participation from Cox & Kings, Cleartrip, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Yatra, Via, Google India, Jet Airways, IndiGo, British Airways, and SpiceJet, among others.
Hosted and marketed by IPG Mediabrands, the Festival will feature deals and discounts by players like Cox & Kings, Thomas Cook, Hyatt, ITC Hotels, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, and redBus, among others, to more than 50 destinations, both within and outside India. Users will be able to get up to 50 per cent off on luxury hotels across India, discounts on cruise packages, Rs 15,000 off on holiday packages anywhere in India, and other deals and discounts on airfares, according to a release.
According to Karan Anand, Head – Relationships, Cox & Kings, “We are excited to be part of this initiative in the midst of the peak summer season as this enables us to entice last-minute holiday shoppers with our range of domestic and international holiday packages some of which are offered at steep discounts.’’
