Argentina Tourism recently concluded training seminars in four cities in India, namely Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The module, ‘Discover the Wonders of Argentina’, consisted of an in-depth understanding of the various cities, landscapes, attractions, natural wonders, unique cruises, etc. The seminars were conducted in addition to the promotional activities that commenced in January 2015, which included roadshows in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata, followed by trade show participation at OTM in Mumbai, as per a release.
Medha Sampat, Director, Knack Marketing (India Representative for Argentina Tourism), stated, “We received a terrific response from the trade in these cities. The main aim of these training programmes was to educate the travel trade on the destination. Argentina is a new product in the Indian market. We have noticed a strong demand for new destinations from these cities. When a country offers so much, it is imperative that the trade needs to understand the destination in order to be able to package it creatively, propose it correctly, and offer extraordinary experiences to their clients.”
